Masterson’s Pub , positioned in the vibrant core of Moonee Ponds, markets itself as a trendy “hipster” hangout , but my recent visit at this establishment resulted in an experience I’d rather forget . While the bar may seem appealing from the exterior , what I experienced behind its doors was shocking and unacceptable on multiple levels .
The State of Affairs: Squalid and Neglected
From the moment I walked in , it was clear that upkeep was not a priority at this venue. The floors were sticky , and a foul smell of old alcohol and filthy restrooms polluted the entire pub. Emitting a scent of a mixture of human waste, decay and illness .
